Why did you choose Informatics over Computer Science?

Because I’m not that techie and I would never want to do Computer Science but I do like techiness.

Where did you work on our last work term?

Alberta Health Services Calgary, it was an 8 month work term.

How many work terms have you completed?

Two out of three

What type of tasks did you complete on you last work term?

I worked on assisting with the implementation and deployment of a communicable disease outbreak management system. Some of my tasks were survey analysis in the beginning and towards the end was deployment of the system.

Give an example of a problem you had to deal with.

Computer problems with some of the user with their help desk not listening to what we told them to do.

What did you like about your team or environment?

They were all fairly young so you were all really friendly so they liked to have fun as well.

Have your experiences impacted what you want to do in the future and how?

Yes, it was based on health but I really wasn’t interested in health and now I sort of am however I want to check out not health jobs.

Would you recommend Co-op?

Yes.

What lifestyle change did you notice while on co-op?

I didn’t sleep in, I didn’t party on weekdays, I had money so I was able to do more. I bought more professional looking clothes and I didn’t wear sweatpants.
