CCCG 2021 will be held fully online

Due to the COVID situation, CCCG 2021 will be held fully online. The registration will be free, but participants will still be require to register online. More details of conference registration will be made available shortly.

If you are interested in knowing more details of the local COVID situation, the following is some relevant information: As of June 14, only essential travel into Nova Scotia is allowed. Upon arrival, the traveler is legally required to self-isolate for 14 days or as directed by Public Health, even if they are fully vaccinated. There are strict legal limitation on public gatherings in the province; Dalhousie University is also discouraging on-campus, indoor events and gatherings. The plan of the province is to have most Nova Scotians fully vaccinated by some time in September. Also, some time in September, we are expected to be in the phase 5 reopening of Nova Scotia, when many public heath measures are expected to be eased and expanded travel into the province is expected to be supported.

Based on the above information, an in-person conference in Nova Scotia may only be possible from this coming fall onward, which will be too late for CCCG. Therefore, we, including the co-chairs and the steering committee, have decided to hold the conference fully online…regretfully.
