Dr. Rahman and his team investigate software bugs, crashes, code smells, and technical debt to deepen current knowledge and create new fault taxonomies, benchmark datasets, tools, and techniques that automatically detect, diagnose, explain, and reproduce bugs or faults across traditional, AI-driven, and simulation-based software systems, ultimately aiming to strengthen software reliability, support developer productivity, and inform next-generation debugging research.
