About A2I2
A2I2 is an Atlantic hub for artificial intelligence and machine learning, headquartered in Dalhousie University.
Who we are
We are a community that connects students, researchers, and partners in events, courses, projects, and resources in state-of-the-art AI. We include many disciplines and experience levels, from beginners to teams deploying AI systems in health, oceans, agriculture, and beyond.
The Members page showcases many of the people involved and the breadth of their research.
What we do
We organize and support:
- Events and meetups – open houses, symposia, and talks that highlight AI research and practice at Dalhousie and across Atlantic Canada.
- Learning pathways – courses, workshops, and self-paced materials in our Learn and Resources sections, from introductory Python to specialized topics in AI and analytics.
- Collaboration and community – connecting researchers, students, and external partners around projects, internships, and joint initiatives in AI.
Across everything we do, we emphasize responsible, transparent, and impactful uses of AI.
