At the 39th IEEE Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE 2026) in Montreal, the MooAnalytica Research Group presented a strong interdisciplinary program spanning dairy digital twins, poultry welfare intelligence, satellite-driven emissions analytics, precision livestock sensing, cyber-physical systems, and carbon-market-linked sustainability intelligence. Nine MooAnalytica students travelled from Halifax to Montreal, with the group delivering multiple posters and oral presentations across the conference. Sibi Chakravarthy Parivendan received First Prize at a national-level Three Minute Thesis competition held during the conference. His presentation focused on AI-enabled social network analysis in dairy cattle, showing how shifts in cow interactions, isolation, and herd social structure can support animal welfare and early disease detection. This recognition followed his earlier success at Dalhousie’s 3MT finals, where he received Overall 2nd Prize and the People’s Choice Award.

Day 1 conference highlights included Shreya Rao presenting real-time identity-preserving dairy cow activity recognition for nutritional digital twin inference, Yashan Dhaliwal presenting HENtwin as a multimodal digital twin framework for longitudinal welfare monitoring in laying hens, and PJ Prajesh presenting satellite-constrained livestock emissions inference and methane monetization pathways for Canada’s dairy and poultry sectors.
