Yujie Tang received a Global Research Seed Fund (GRSF) for their project ‘AI-Enhanced UAVs for Resilient Emergency Response’.

Yujie Tang has received a $5,000 Global Research Seed Fund (GRSF) for their project “AI-Enhanced UAVs for Resilient Emergency Response”. The GRSF is intended to support the development of international research initiatives between Dalhousie researchers and their global partners.

The goal of the project is to create an intelligent, integrated system that guarantees emergency vehicles never lose their connection. It uses AI to predict a vehicle’s trajectory and proactively directs a swarm of UAVs to form an unbreakable, flying communication link, while also helping to navigate the vehicle’s path by dynamically calculating the fastest route.
