At Dalhousie’s UN Sustainable Development Goals Expo on March 26, 2026, the MooAnalytica group presented eight posters across dairy, poultry, animal welfare, greenhouse-gas intelligence, and climate-smart agriculture. Shreya Rao received the People’s Choice - Best Poster Award for “Digital Twins for Precision Dairy Nutrition: AI-Driven Behavioural Analytics for Sustainable Livestock Management.” Her work focuses on individualized, data-driven, welfare-aware systems that can improve precision feeding, reduce feed waste, and support more sustainable livestock management.

The team’s posters addressed SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Climate Action). Presentations included Shreya Rao on digital twins for precision dairy cow nutrition, Mayuri Kate on acoustic AI for early welfare signals in dairy cows, Sibi Chakravarthy Parivendan on social network intelligence in cattle, Shivam Patel on automated pain detection in cows using vision AI, Daniel Edison Essien on multimodal poultry welfare sensing, Yashan Dhaliwal on longitudinal development tracking in hens, Kashfia Sailunaz on explainable AI linking behaviour to milk yield, and Mayuri Kate with Kashfia Sailunaz on AI-driven greenhouse-gas decision support for farms.
