Oladapo Oyebode was a guest speaker for the Eastern Shore Coastal Monitoring Network (ESCOM) webinar “Gamification as a Persuasive Strategy for Promoting Community Engagement”, held in Halifax in 2025. ESCOM empowers Eastern Shore communities for coastal conservation and climate resilience through citizen science. The talk forms part of an ongoing community-engaged climate adaptation collaboration supported by the Ocean Frontier Institute’s Community Climate Adaptation Fund, which has also produced per-reviewed work on community-centred spatial intelligence for climate adaptation at Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore, presented at the ACM SIGSPATIAL SpatialConnect ’25 workshop in Minneapolis, USA.
