About
Overall, I want to understand how the brain, and possible other intelligent systems work. For this I believe we need to understand dual decision theory that combines causal world modeling with habitual learning (System 1 and System 2). The specific focus in my lab is currently to advance uncertainty prediction, the ability to know how good model predictions are. This is a known to be a major factor for human decision making and will be critical for better AI applications. I am also pursuing new directions in robotics.
Note to prospective students
Most of my research is theoretical in nature that requires a solid foundation in probability theory and math.
