About

My research is in evolutionary computation. I analyze the behaviour of evolutionary algorithms for numerical optimization with the goal of developing more capable algorithm variants. Areas of interest include constrained optimization, surrogate modelling, multi-objective optimization, and related derivative-free and first-order methods. I am an Associate Editor of Evolutionary Computation (MIT Press) and an Area Editor of the ACM Transactions on Evolutionary Learning and Optimization.
