Videoconferencing and Collaborative Technologies for the Dalhousie Community

D-Drive is an experimental facility directed by Dr. Jonathan Borwein with infrastructure funded by CFI. D-Drive is available for the use of the Dalhousie community at no charge. For further information, or to make a booking, please contact the D-Drive Administrator.

Videoconferencing Facilities

D-Drive can accommodate videoconferencing requests employing most common technological standards, from complex conferences or multi-site events to simple one-to-one skype meetings. D-Drive is also equipped with a conference telephone for the most basic of communication needs.

Meeting Facilities

Collaborative technologies for local meetings include a set of large, tiled plasma screens, touch sensitive input, digital whiteboards and a space that can hold up to 40 people. Many common desktop, mathematical and scientific applications are also available.

Booking D-Drive

Please allow plenty of time before your event to contact us and make sure of the technical and organizational arrangements. Three or four weeks is ideal, although we can sometimes accommodate requests at shorter notice, depending upon the complexity of the event. D-Drive will provide a technician to run the system or to give advice for simpler applications.
